Scope and purpose of the training:
The High Content Screening Imaging technology is an important tool for drug development preclinical studies. Automated, high throughput confocal, epifluorescent and brightfield microscopy can be used for compound library screening, cytotoxicity and drug metabolism effect studies. This method offers high standardization of preclinical studies and good efficiency for drug candidates screening.
During the workshop theoretical and technical basis of PerkinElmer High Content Screening System will be presented. Program of the workshop also includes a presentation of PerkinElmer Operetta CLS system.
This course is designed for everybody who is working with cell lines, spheroids, organoids or model organisms like Zebra fish.
Especially:
- Biotechnologists using fixed/living cells, spheroids or organoids
- Drug development scientists
- New therapies researchers
- Stem cells researchers
The training consists of the theoretical part and presentation of Operetta CLS, PerkinElmer .
- Basic HCS concept and terminology
- The instrument design and technology
- Harmony software features and philosophy
- Application examples
- System features
- Image analysis in practice
